António Morgado signs for UAE Team Emirates

Portuguese young talent pens 4-year deal

Antonio Morgado has agreed terms to join UAE Team Emirates starting from the 2024 season as part of a four year deal which will see him in the UAE colours through to the end of 2027.
The 19 year-old from Caldas da Rainha is competing in the colours of Hagens Berman Axeon this season and holds three victories to his name so far this year including the Portuguese Under-23 time trial championships.

 

Morgado had a prolific year also in 2022 on the Junior circuit, taking a string of victories and podiums and notably a silver medal in the World Road Race Championships.

 

Morgado : “I’m arriving to the team with a lot of desire and ambition. I’m very happy to have this opportunity, I’ve always dreamed of this. The people I know in the team have spoken very highly about it and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. I’m ready to work hard to achieve great things together here at UAE.
