Bagioli, Covi and Tivani: UAE Team Emirates’ trainees

Starting August 1st, the two Italians and the Argentine will race with the Emirati formation

The heads and technical staff of UAE Team Emirates have chosen three young cyclists who will get the chance to race in the ranks of the Emirati team starting August 1st; details of their schedule are still being worked out.
Keeping a constant eye on identifying cycling talent, UAE Team Emirates is expanding its orbit to include Andrea Bagioli (Italy), Alessandro Covi (Italy) and German Nicolas Tivani (Argentina).

Andrea Bagioli, born in Sondrio (Italy) on 23/03/1999, has shown a proclivity for climbing: in 2018, his first year in the Under 23 class wearing the Team Colpack jersey, he achieved two successes (3rd stage and general classification in the Toscana Terra di Ciclismo-Eroica Under 23), in addition to three second places and two third places.

Alessandro Covi was born in Borgomanero (Italy) on 28/09/1998.  In two years in the Under 23 class riding for Team Colpack he celebrated six victories, four of them in 2018. He is a resistant rider who has also shown agility on climbs as well as fine sprinting skills.

German Nicolas Tivani was born in Pocito (Argentina) on 31/10/1995. A sprinter who doesn’t seem to suffer on climbs of medium difficulty, he has honed his skills at the UCI Centre Mondial du Cyclisme.
He’s already scored four successes in 2018, to add to the five victories he enjoyed in 2017.
