Bennett closes the Tour de Langkawi in 4th place

Molano 3rd on the last stage

UAE Team Emirates concludes its competitive calendar with George Bennett’s 4th place in the overall classification of the Tour de Langkawi and with Juan Sebastian Molano’s 3rd place in the last stage of the Malaysian race. The final win tally of the Emirati squad stands at an impressive 48.

 

The last stage, 115.9 km with arrival and departure in Kuah, saw the breakaway of the day go clear, to the line with Alex Molenaar (Burgos-BH) and Jason Osborne (Alpecin-Deceuninck).
A further 18 ” back, Molano led home the group in the sprint for third place.

 

Despite some attacks between men in the classification in the final circuit, there was no change in the general classification, with George Bennett confirming 4th place, at 1’50 “from the winner Ivan Sosa (Movistar).
