Hirschi takes silver in Swiss Championships
Runner-up position for the Berne native
Marc Hirschi was 2nd in the Swiss National time-trial Championships which were held in Chalet-à-Gobet today.
The 22-year old completed the 20km course in 50’57’’ with only time-trial specialist Stefan Kung (Groupama-FDJ) going quicker.
Hirschi: “I’m happy with my performance today. I came out of Tour de Suisse feeling strong but it was always going to be hard to beat Kung on a course like this. I’ll rest a bit now and focus on the road race at the weekend. It’s a relatively short course with a few punchy climbs so it could suit me well.”
