Aru places 10th in the Tour de Wallonie in racing return

Fabio Aru finished 10th in the overall of the Tour de Wallonie today in Belgium, marking a successful return after abandoning the Giro d’Italia.

The Italian Champion of UAE Team Emirates finished 13 seconds off the overall race winner Tim Wellens (Lotto-Soudal).

“It was a positive return,” Aru said. “The route didn’t suit me but I wanted to make the race with a few different attacks anyway. I was always up in the front and felt good. Now, I’m heading to Poland to continue my work with eyes on the Vuelta.”
