Top-10 for Kristoff at Dwars Door Vlaanderen

Alexander Kristoff showed a return to form in Belgium, sprinting to 6th place in the final of Dwars Door Vlaanderen in Belgium.

The team proved active in the final kilometres, after Matteo Trentin was caught behind a crash, with Rui Oliveira forming part of the small chasing group of riders which hovered around 30’’ behind eventual race winner Dylan Van Baarle (Ineos-Grenadiers).

Once the Kristoff group merged with Oliveira it was a sprint for second place with Kristoff coming in at the head of the group.

Kristoff: “I’m a little disappointed as I was hampered in the sprint. In general things went well for the team: Rui Oliveira was up in the move and Bystrom was there with me in the lead group.
Trentin got caught up in an early crash but we made the best of it in the end. Things are looking good for Flanders at the weekend.”
