UAE Team Emirates to the Coppa Agostoni and the Coppa Bernocchi

UAE Team Emirates will have two events in Italy over the weekend.

Coach Marco Marzano (Italy) will be assigning the following athletes from the Emirati team into two teams that will compete in Lombardy, in the Coppa Agostoni (Saturday, September 15th) and in the Coppa Bernocchi (Sunday, September 16th):
– Coppa Agostoni (200 km): Matteo Bono (Italy), Kristijan Durasek (Croatia), Filippo Ganna (Italy), Yousif Mirza (United Arab Emirates), Oliviero Troia (Italy), Alessandro Covi (Italy – trainee), Andrea Bagioli (Italy – trainee).
– Coppa Bernocchi (195 km): Matteo Bono (Italy), Kristijan Durasek (Croatia), Filippo Ganna (Italy), Yousif Mirza (United Arab Emirates), Oliviero Troia (Italy), Alessandro Covi (Italy – trainee), Nicolas Tivani (Argentina – trainee).

Sports Director Marco Marzano had this to say: “The Coppa Agostoni and the Coppa Bernocchi are two challenging races, in which all our riders will get the chance to exploit their physical form.
Since we are not setting out with a single captain, we will have to race deliberately, being careful to look out for breaks or for possible moves to make in the race finals.
With their experience, Bono and Durasek will have to spend the race managing Ganna and Troia’s brilliance, as well as guiding the trainees Bagioli, Covi, Tivani and Mirza”.
