UAE Team Emirates training in Spain
Team's winter training camp starts today
The work began for UAE Team Emirates at a training camp that runs from today through December 21 in Spain. All 29 cyclists will be present and working hard towards 2019.
The team is basing itself at the Gran Palas Hotel in La Pineda, near Tarragona.
Today, the riders will have their first group ride on their Colnago bicycles, carrying out a series of drills on the Spanish roads.
But it’s not just the bikes. The team is trying out Met helmets, Champion System clothing and other materials needed for the 2019 season.
With all the riders on hand, the team’s sports directors and staff can meet individually with each cyclist to plan competitions and carry out evaluation tests, part of the base for the coming race season.
