Massive sprint, Zurlo is 8th

Sprint time also in the 2nd stage of the Tour of Guangxi, 156,7 km from Qinzhou to Nanning.
In the massive sprint which assigned the victory to Gaviria, UAE Team Emirates’ rider Federico Zurlo obtained the 8th place.

Zurlo (photo Bettini) described the stage and the sprint: “In the first part of the stage, our team was in the front of the race thanks to Mohoric, who joined a 7 riders attack, which however was later neutralized.
Then 3 attackers took the leadership in the stage, the bunch controlled them and bridged the gap in view of the sprint.
I could have done better, because I chose to follow the riders launching the sprint on the left side of the road, while the cyclists on the right turned out to be faster“.
