Mohoric has a battling spirit, Guardini 8th

Massive sprint once again, tomorrow the queen stage

The day Fernando Gaviria obtained the third success in a row in the Tour of Guangxi, winning the 3rd stage (Nanning-Nanning, 125,4 km), UAE Team Emirates succeeded in placing for the third time one of its riders in the top 10.
Andrea Guardini was indeed 8th in the massive sprint on the final straight of the race.

During the stage, which was raced on a flat course, Matej Mohoric (photo Bettini) demonstrated once again his battling spirit, going clear from the bunch at -30 km with Craddock: they had a maximum advantage of 50″, however they could not avoid the chase of the bunch, which was completed at 5 km to go.

When Lotto-Soudal bridged the gap from an earlier breakaway by leading the peloton, I understood that there would have been many attack attempts, so I tried to going clear and I succeded in my goal – Mohoric explained – Unfortunately, only Craddock joined me, it would have been necessary to be in a larger number for trying to avoid the neutralization in view of the arrival“.

In stage 4, Nanning-Mashan Nongla Scenic Spot, the riders will face the only one summit arrival of the race.
