Ravasi amongst the best 10 climbers

Italian climber is also 10th in the GC

Good performance from the young gun Edward Ravasi in the queen stage of the Tour de Slovenie, stage 3 from Celje to the summit arrival in Rogla (167,7 km).

 

The Italian climber, who debutted in a Grand Tour completing as neo-pro the Giro d’Italia 2017, obtained the 10th place, at 1’22” to the stage winner Majka: the long final climb (13,5 km at 7,6%) selected the peloton and the best climbers fought for the success.
Jan Polanc, the other awaited rider from UAE Team Emirates, reached the arrival in 14th place, at 2’03”.

 

Tenth place for Ravasi in the general classification too, which is led by Majka: gap of 1’32”.

 

I was aware I could have been with the top climbers in today stage, which was demanding and it was suitable for my skillsRavasi (photo Bettini archive) explained – After the Giro d’Italia, I had good feedbacks from my legs during the trainings and today too I my feelings were good, even if I would have liked to obtain more than the 10th place. Today performance gives me moreale for the rest of the season”.

 

Last stage of the Tour de Slovenie will take place on a 160 km of easy course from Rogaska Slatina to Novo Mesto.
