Here is a true talent, a product of the successful Slovenian school which has recently been launching many top-notch riders to the forefront of the cycling scene.
He joined UAE Team Emirates on the advice of Andrej Hauptmann, a Slovenian ex-pro and team manager for Tadej when he was a rookie. Marko Polanc, who is Jan’s father, was also Tadej’s Sports Director.
Tadej and Jan Polanc share a deep bond of friendship and the two Slovenians spend a lot of time together training.
The first thing that stands out about Tadej is his ability to stay cool and calm in any situation, which is quite a rare characteristic in such a young rider.
When he isn’t on a bike, he loves hiking in the mountains.
