Rui Costa climbs the rankings in Tour de Suisse

Portuguese champion 8th in TT, moves up to 9th in General Classification

Rui Costa put yesterday’s disappointment behind him, riding to a strong 8th place in a hard time trial effort on stage 7 at the Tour de Suisse.

The stage from Disentis Sedrun to Andermatt (23.2km) featured a gradual climb followed by a fast and technically demanding descent. The stage was won by Rigoberto Uran (Education-First) with Costa coming home 1’ behind.
