Teams Announced For Poland and French Races

UAE Team Emirates aim to continue promising season restart

After a strong showing in the opening week of racing which saw a victory for Fernando Gaviria at the Vuelta Burgos and a podium spot for Davide Formolo in Strade Bianche, the Emirati team continues its busy racing calendar at the Tour de Pologne (WT) which runs from August 5-9.

 
The experienced duo of Sports Directors Simone Pedrazzini (Swi) and Bruno Vicino (Ita) will lead the following group of riders.

Diego Ulissi : ” After the win by Fernando in Burgos and the podium of Formolo in Strade Bianche we are heading to Poland full of confidence. Personally my condition is good and there are a few stages there that suit me well. With the strength of the team we are bringing, I think we can do good things there.”

 

Meanwhile the team will send a squad to France to race the Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge [1.Pro] on 6 August followed by a stage race, the Tour de l’Ain [2.Pro] which runs from 7-9 August.

 

The teams will be led by Andrej Hauptman (Slo) and Allan Peiper (Aus).

Aru: ” To be back racing again is a great feeling. A top-10 at Burgos shows that the condition is pretty good, but I am still building towards my top level. In France the goal will be to continue building form towards the big goals like Lombardía and eventually the Tour de France.”
