The UAE Team Emirates for the Tour of Turkey

The UAE Team Emirates will present a balanced roster with fast riders and climbers for the Tour of Turkey, starting April 16th from Istanbul.
The WorldTour stage race, which returns to its original April calendar this 2019 season, covers six stages before ending on the 21st.

Marco Marzano (Ita) and Bruno Vicino (Ita) will direct the following seven cyclists through the race:
– Simone Consonni (Ita)
– Valerio Conti (Ita)
– Cristian Muñoz (Col)
– Yousif Mirza (UAE)
– Sebastian Molano (Col)
– Jan Polanc (Slo)
– Aleksandr Riabushenko (Blr)

The six stages vary: two stages end with small kicks, another two should be decided by sprinters, the third day will offer attackers a possibility from afar, and the fifth day ends with the climb to Kartepe (16.8 km, average gradient of 7.4%).

Marzano outlined the team’s ambitions aims: “Our two fast riders, Consonni and Molano, will have the chance to take on a good group of sprinters. As for the more demanding stages, Conti and Polanc have the skills to fight for good results, benefiting from the work by team-mates Mirza, Muñoz and Riabushenko“.
