Tour of Guangxi has started: Guardini 6th

Andrea Guardini was close to the top 5 in the first stage of the Tour of Guangxi, short stages race which was added to the World Tour calendar in 2017.
The sprinter from UAE Team Emirates competed in the massive sprint at the end of the Beihai-Beihai (107,4 km), crossing the finish line in 6th position.
The stage took place on a flat course, near the beautiful landscape of the Silver Beach.
“I had good feelings during the race, I regret I could not have obtained more than the 6th place – Guardini (photo) explained – My team mates’ support was impressive, they led me in the final km in the front position, probably I chose the wrong gear because in the final 1500 meters there was strong tailwind. Tomorrow I’ll try again to obtain a top result”.
