Trentin leads squad for Paris-Roubaix

Spring Classics continue at ‘Hell of the North’, Hodeg returns to racing

UAE Team Emirates continue their spring classics campaign with the third ‘monument’ of the season : Paris-Roubaix on Sunday (9th April).

The squad will be lead by the strength and experience of Matteo Trentin who comes into the team after a top-10 at Flanders last weekend.

Trentin : “The sensations in Flanders were really good and as a team we played our cards perfectly. I’m happy with my condition and could be up there in the final so it’s positive for the objectives ahead. Obviously Paris-Roubaix is a very different race with different characteristics but we are focused and motivated to go for a good result.”

The team will be guided by Sports Directors Fabio Baldato (Ita) and Marco Marcato (Ita).

Hodeg : “It’s been a long road back from injury but I’m so pleased and proud to pin on a race number again. I had some difficult moments over the past year but I’m very thankful for all the support and trust the team and the people close to me have shown to allow me to find the path back to doing what I love.
Naturally I expect it to take time to get used to the race rhythm but to be back at a race already feels like a victory.”
