UAE Team Emirates’ line-up for the Bretagne Classic-Ouest France

More than just the Vuelta a España for UAE Team Emirates over the weekend.
On Sunday 27th August, President Matar’s formation will in fact race in France, in the World Tour Bretagne Classic-Ouest France, covering a distance of 241.7 km.

Here are the members of the UAE Team Emirates’ selection:
– Simone Consonni (Italy)
– Valerio Conti (Italy)
– Kristijan Durasek (Croatia)
– Marco Marcato (Italy)
– Simone Petilli (Italy)
– Edward Ravasi (Italy)
– Oliviero Troia (Italy)
– Diego Ulissi (Italy)
Sports Manager: Orlando Maini (Italy)

Simone Consonni (photo Bettini): “This will be the first time I’ve participated in this French event. The route should be suited to my skills; I will have to study it well so I am ready to organize my race. It will be interesting to test my mettle in this type of competition, considering that it is a World Tour event. I’m in good shape; I hope that the race will end up leading to a finish that is suited to my assets”.

Sports Manager Maini: “We’re going to have to pay attention to every move in the race, right from the beginning, just a few kilometres from the start, considering that the route will be challenging in the first part and there will be some stretches of narrow roads; some actions could be launched from faraway and we will need to be there. In the final, Conti and Ulissi will be tasked with pursuing any eventual attacks, while Marcato will lead Consonni in the case things should end up in a sprint”.
