Juan Ayuso put in a solid time against the clock to take 9th spot on stage 4 of the Criterium du Dauphine.
The Spanish talent clocked an average speed of 46.7kmph, some 1’38” behind stage winner and new race leader Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quickstep) on the 34.4km course.
Ayuso now sits in 8th place on GC ahead of tomorrow’s hilly stage from Amplepuis to Saint-Priest (167km).
