GP Canton d’Argovie-Gippingen, a super-fast UAE Team Emirates in the starting line-up
A high speed pace for the Emirati team in the Swiss race
The GP du Canton d’Argovie-Gippingen is a traditional teaser for the Tour de Suisse.
The in-line Helvetian race will be held on Thursday, June 7, and will cover a distance of 186 km.
The following UAE Team Emirates riders will be competing in the event:
– Simone Consonni (Italy)
– Roberto Ferrari (Italy)
– Filippo Ganna (Italy)
– Alexander Kristoff (Norway)
– Jan Polanc (Slovenia)
– Ben Swift (United Kingdom)
– Oliviero Troia (Italy)
Local Ticino Sports Director Simone Pedrazzini will be driving the Mitsubishi team car. These are the team’s prospects, in his words. “The GP Canton d’Argovie-Gippingen usually features an outcome in the final sprint. We are ready for this with a pack of impressive sprinters made up of Kristoff, Consonni, Ferrari and Swift. Consonni could also make himself a threat by getting into long attacks. Troia, Polanc and Ganna will be important riders for every race situation”.
