Mirza maintaines the national title

Yousif Mirza obtained one more victory in a time trial.

After having won the time trial at the Gulf Cooperation Council Games, today the athlet from UAE Team Emirates obtained the UAE time trial title.

Mirza covered the 30 km of the race in 39’37”, 35″ better than Mohamed Almurawi (2nd) and 36″ better than Badr Mirza (3rd), obtaining the fourth national time trial title in his career, the second one in a row.

UAE Team Emirates’ rider commented: “I’m really happy, first of all because I succeeded in defending the title I had won in the past season, then because the course was demanding and it was not simple to realize good performances.
I managed my energies in a great way, my legs pushed well for the whole course and my speed was constant.
I’d like to be competitive also in the road national championship, which is scheduled on April the 7th: I’m the national champion and I’d like to continue to wear the UAE champion kit all over the world“.
