Molano sprints to top-10 at AlUla Tour

Colombian 8th on hectic finish in Al Manshiya

Sebastian Molano took on his maiden sprint of the 2024 season on stage 1 at the AlUla Tour in Saudi Arabia today.

The Colombian fastman benefitted from a first-rate leadout at the hand of the Oliveira twins, Ivo and Rui, coming into the final kilometre, but would find himself overcrowded in the sprint and have to settle for 8th place.

The sprinting stage which started and finished in Al Manshiya Train Station(149.1km) was won by Casper Van Uden (DSM).

Tomorrow stage 2 will see the first shake-up in the GC with the hilltop finish from AlUla Winter Park to Sharaan Nature Reserve (199.1km).
