Morgado climbs podium as best young rider in Algarve

Young Portuguese talent 10th overall

Antonio Morgado took a positive step in his young career, putting in a strong display on home soil to take home the white jersey of best young rider at the Volta Algarve in Portugal.

The 20 year old climbed with the elite group throughout the week, finishing 10th overall on GC for his immense efforts, with Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quickstep) taking overall victory.

Morgado’s teammate Isaac Del Toro unfortunately did not take to the start of the final stage due to coming down with a fever the night before.
