Quality and motivations: Team UAE ready for the home race

The pride to represent a nation, the honour of trying to achieve the best possible results in the “home race”.

The Emirati team is fully aware of the importance of the race, which is registered in the World Tour 2017 calendar, and the quality of the line-up will fit the right ambitions.

Sport directors Mario Scirea and Marco Marzano will manage the performances of a group of fast riders whose members will be Ben Swift, Andrea Guardini and Simone Consonni, of a duo of general classification contenders who are Rui Costa-Diego Ulissi (in photo Bettini, they pose with the bike Colnago C60), and of a top quality climber Louis Meintjes. They’ll all exploit the experience of Kristijan Durasek and Manuele Mori.

The members of the operative staff will be the masseurs Lima, Napolitano and Quadranti, the mechanics Cornacchione and Morari, the press officer Appiani, with the presence of physiacian Dr Corsetti.

This is the stages schedule of the Abu Dhabi Tour 2017:
– 1st stage, Thursday 23 February: Emirates Motor Company stage, Madinat Zayed-Madinat Zayed, 187 km
– 2nd stage, Friday 24 February: Nation Towers stage, Abu Dhabi (Al Maryah Island)-Abu Dhabi (Al Marina), 153 km
– 3rd stage, Saturday 25 February: Al Maryah Island stage, Al Ain-Jabel Hafeet, 186 km
– 4th stage, Sunday 26 February: Yas Island stage, Yas Marina Circuit (26 laps), 143 km
