UAE Team Emirates announce Emaar as new sponsor

The partnership underlines Emaar’s commitment to foster the local sporting scene

UAE Team Emirates, the first UAE World Tour cycling team, has announced Emaar Properties – the globally recognized property developer – as a new sponsor, starting 2019.

Renowned for conceptualising and delivering global icons such as the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, Emaar will leverage this new partnership to champion UAE Team Emirates’ athletes.

The two entities have signed a four-year deal aimed at pushing the UAE squad to the top tiers of world-class cycling, as well as to promote healthy living among locals. Emaar will be joining an impressive league of sponsors, including leading international carrier Emirates and the UAE’s largest bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB).

Mauro Gianetti, CEO and Member of the Board of Directors, said: “Competitive cycling has increased in popularity since the launch of the Team, and Emaar’s support will help us reach our full potential. Partnering with one of the world’s leading lifestyle developers is certain to gain more exposure for our Team on the global scale, and we are excited about that.

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties, said: “The new partnership solidifies our dedication to fitness. We are confident that the event will encourage more Emiratis to enjoy cycling as a sport, and we will continue to partner with such leading sporting initiatives, to meet our common goal.

Emaar has been an unwavering supporter of key fitness events in the UAE, including the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2018”.
