UAE Team Emirates, good performance in the TTT

Good performance from the UAE Team Emirates in the team time trial chase (photo Hammer Series), that was the last race of the Hammer Series in Limburg.

The Hammer Series is organized by Velon and consists of three high-intensity race days, testing teams across multiple cycling disciplines. The race’s unique format means teams will go head to head against each other in three races (Hammer Climb, Hammer Sprint and Hammer Chase) and only a team, not an individual, can win. The five riders from the Emirati team (Ganna, Guardini, Kump, Mirza and Troia), who raced in the group of teams which were classified from 9 to 16 after the first two days of races (Hammer Climb and Hammer Sprint), covered the 44,7 km of the team time trial in 53’45”, 7th best performance.
Unfortunately, this was not enough to obtain a final result in the general standing better than the 14th place.
The victory was for Team Sky.

Filippo Ganna commented his participation in the Hammer Series: “I really enjoyed the first edition of the Hamme Series, we all have been part of something which have all the characteristics for becoming an important appointment of the cycling calendar.
