Majka captains squad in Saudi as Sivakov makes team debut in Valenciana

UAE Team Emirates will begin a block of racing in the Middle-East in their highly anticipated build-up to the UAE Tour, starting with the newly branded AlUla Tour in Saudi Arabia from 30 January – 3 February while the team will also race in Spain at the Volta Valenciana from 31 January -4 February.

The group for AlUla will look towards the experience of Rafal Majka who will captain the squad while Sebastian Molano will aim to take advantage of the sprint opportunities with a strong leadout train to back him up.

Molano: “I’m starting my season at AlUla and I’ll be focusing on the sprint stages together with a strong block of leadout riders in support. We have been riding together now for many seasons and know and trust each other well in the sprints. I’m really looking forward to getting things started and to hopefully build on last season and keep at the high level. We have guys here for the GC also who we expect will be up in the fight for the overall.”
