UAE Team Emirates-XRG announces its Gen Z squad for 2026

UAE Team Emirates–XRG is proud to unveil the 2026 lineup of its Gen Z development squad, continuing the team’s mission to identify and nurture the brightest young talent from around the world.

The squad will consist of 13 riders in total — blending new arrivals and returning athletes — and will be guided under the supervision of the same management of the WorldTour outfit alongside Sports Directors Jan Polanc (Slo), Yousif Mirza (UAE), and Giacomo Notari (Ita).

Together, they will oversee the development and race program of the next generation of UAE Team Emirates–XRG talent.

The team welcomes five new riders for 2026:
– Heimo Fugger (Aus)
– Daan Dijkman (Ned)
– Matteo Vanden Wijngaert (Bel)
– Moritz Mauss (Ger)
– Jaime Torres (Spa)

They join the continuing group of: Mohammed Almutaiwei (UAE), Ugo Fabries (Fra), Marcos Freire (Spa), Luca Giami (Ita), Abdulla Jasim Al-Ali (UAE), Mateo Ramírez (Ecu), Enea Sambinello (Ita), and Davide Stella (Ita) – all of whom will continue their development within the UAE structure.

A highlight of the program’s success is Adrià Pericas (Spa), who graduates from the Gen Z squad to the UAE Team Emirates–XRG WorldTour team on a five-year contract after a positive 2025 season at the U23 level.
