Ulissi 7th in the Giro dell’Emilia

UAE Team Emirates in the top 10 of the Giro dell’Emilia, thanks to Diego Ulissi who was 7th on the arrival which was placed on the top of the steep hill of San Luca, in Bologna.

The race was won by Giovanni Visconti, who performed a solo attack at 16 km to the arrival. Second place for Nibali, third place for Uran.
Ulissi was in the main chasing group until the last passage on the steep hill, then he managed to obtain a result in the top ten when the climb selected the group. He reached the arrival with 25″ of late.

“I gave my best, I feel I could not achieve a better result – Diego Ulissi (in photo Bettini with Niemiec) commented – Visconti went for a solo attack and his action was really impressive, he managed to defend the advantage until the finish line.
I was in the first chasing group, we approached the final hill very fast, however it was not enough for bridging the gap“.
