Yates top-10 in Suisse as key stages lay ahead

British rider 7th on stage, Hirschi puts in late attack

Adam Yates was to the fore of the action on stage 3 of the Tour de Suisse finishing 7th on the lumpy finale from Steinmaur to Rüschlikon (161.7km)

 

Marc Hirschi went for a late attack with -3km to go with the Swiss rider putting in a daring moving on the final kick before the sweeping descent towards the line along Lake Zurich.

 

The chasing pack led by Decathlon-AG2R would reel in Hirschi with 700m to go as Thibau Nys (Lidl-Trek) took the victory.

 

Finn Fisher Black sits in 6th spot at 9’’ and continues to wear the white jersey with Yates just behind in 8th at 10’’ from overall leader Alberto Bettiol (EF Education Easypost)
