Zurlo in the second group chasing the winner Boom

The Italian rider is the best positioned (44th) for the UAE Team Emirates in the GC

Lars Boom won the 5th stage of the BinckBank Tour, Sittard Geleen-Sittard Geleen (160,5, 18 hills to cover), and become the new leader of the race.

 

The Dutchman counter-attacked in the last 2 km from a group of 18 riders who had went clear from the main peloton and he reached the arrival for a solo victory. No riders from the UAE Team Emirates (photo Bettini) were in the group which chased Boom, Zurlo was in the second chasing group and he obtained the 34th place, at 46″ to the winner.

 

In the general classification, Zurlo is 44th at 1’41”.
