Classica San Sebastian: Martin 12th & Ulissi 17th

A Classica San Sebastián different than recent years with a 2.8km climb averaging 11% that left 8km to race with 4km of descent.

On the hardest part, Mollema and Alaphilippe went to action and arrived on the seafront together. Frenchman Alaphilippe beat his Dutch rival in a two up sprint.

At 16 seconds back, Frenchman Anthony Roux (Groupama-FDJ) sprinted to the front of his eight-man group for the final podium spot.

Daniel Martin placed 12th at 43 seconds from the winner, and Diego Ulissi in 17th at 51 seconds.
