Impressive second place in Belgium for Kump

UAE Team Emirates' Slovenian rider preceded by Demare in a massive sprint

Marko Kump has proven to be one of the fittest riders on UAE Team Emirates by capturing second place in the Bruxelles Classic, making it onto a prestigious podium which featured Demare on the top step and Greipel in third place.

It all came down to a sprinting finish (photo Bettini), after the group caught up to Breschel in the last kilometre of the race.
The Emirati team led by sports director Righi did a good job setting up Kump so he could vie for the sprint from the leading positions.

Considering the arrival order, I can say that this second place is worth a lot,” commented Kump However it’s still too bad that we just missed claiming a great result; if I look back at the sprint I keep thinking about all the little things that I could have done better.
I’m in very good shape; today I tried to go for the best. Tomorrow in the Gp Fourmies I’m going to get another chance.
