De La Cruz climbs standings at Vuelta Burgos
Catalan rider up to 5th on GC after Picón Blanco
David De La Cruz showed good form on stage 3 of the Vuelta Burgos , climbing with an elite group to finish 9th after the ascent of the Picón Blanco.
Stage honours went to Romain Bardet (DSM) who broke away solo on the final ascent with De La Cruz sprinting home in a group 50″ back.
The 32 year-old moves up to 5th on general standings, 1 minute down on new race leader Bardet.
Tomorrow stage 4 from Roa to Aranda de Duero (149km) is another day for the sprinters where Sebastian Molano will aim to build on his victory from day two.
