Pogačar returns at E3, as solid line-up named for Gent-Wevelgem

Defending champ Ulissi back at GP Industria

After an impressive win at Paris-Nice, Tadej Pogačar resumes his season at the Flanders Classics with E3 Saxo Bank Classic (24 March) while the team takes a squad packed with classics pedigree to Gent-Wevelgem (26 March).

UAE Team Emirates have a good record at Gent-Wevelgem, most notably in 2019 when Alexander Kristoff sprinted home for the win.

Meanwhile in Italy a team of six riders will line-up for the GP Industria & Artigianato (26 March), a race which Diego Ulissi won in 2022. Ulissi will return to defend his crown as leader of the squad.

Sports Directors Fabio Baldato (Ita) and Marco Marcato (Ita) will guide the team in Belgium while Marco Marzano (Ita) will take charge in Italy.

Pogačar : “After Paris-Nice we are full of confidence as a team and feel ready to take on the classics.

It’s my first time at E3 so it’s a new experience and a new challenge. I’m excited for it : the atmosphere in Belgium during these weeks is something special and the passion the people have for cycling is really beautiful. I have great memories from this period last season and hungry to race here again.
