UAE Team Emirates set fro GP Quebec & Montreal

Pogačar leads experienced squad for Canadian Classics

As the Vuelta España reaches its climax in Spain, UAE Team Emirates will send squads across the world with two important races in Canada in the shape of the GP Cycliste de Quebec (9 Sept) and GP Montreal (11 Sept) and the one-day French classic GP de Fourmiers in France (11 Sept).

Tadej Pogačar will spearhead a very strong squad in Canada, with vast experience and winning options through ex-winners of the GP Montreal Diego Ulissi (2017) and Rui Costa (2011).

Pogačar: “GP Quebec & Montreal are new races for me but I’ve heard really good things about them from the other riders. It’s actually my first time in Canada so I’m quite excited about that.
My condition is pretty good and I’m focused on enjoying and doing well in this last part of the season. In the squad we have guys who have performed well and even won here in Canada before so I think we have lots of options for both races which is always a nice position to be in.”

The seven-man squad will be led by Sports Director Simone Pedrazzini (Swi).
