Ulissi gets 11th place in Quebec

In the Quebec Grand Prix, the first of two Canadian World Tour races this weekend, UAE Team Emirates rider Diego Ulissi came in 11th place after a massive sprint.

“We raced well, paying close attention to how the race was going” says Diego “But in the final there were too many powerful people jostling in the sprint and I couldn’t do any better than that. However, I feel good and on Sunday the Montreal Grand Prix will be even harder”.

The race covered 16 laps of 12.6 km each and featured a total elevation of 2976 metres. World Champion Peter Sagan won the race, coming in ahead of Belgian Greg Van Avermaet and Australian Michael Matthews.
